FRESH MEAT TRANSPORT
As fresh meat can quickly become unfit for consumption due to biochemical and microbiological changes, a very high level of attention is a must, particularly during transport. Thus we know that – in addition to optimum transport conditions – rapid loading and unloading is also vital. The same applies to pre-cooling vehicles to transport temperature, ongoing maintenance and inspection of their cargo bays, and documentation of cleaning and disinfection work.
It goes without saying that no other goods may be transported in the cargo bay of a food transporter at the same time. The same applies to the ideal temperature, which must not exceed +7 degrees Celsius when transporting meat (fresh meat).
