DATA PROTECTION

PROTECTING YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS A PARTICULAR CONCERN OF OURS

We have written this Privacy Policy (version 18/09/2018-221073345) to explain to you, in accordance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and the Data Protection Act (DSG), what information we collect, how we use data and what choices are available to you as a visitor to this website. Unfortunately, explanations regarding these sorts of things will always sound very technical, but we have endeavoured to describe the key points as simply and clearly as possible.

AUTOMATIC DATA STORAGE

When you visit websites nowadays, certain information is automatically created and stored, including on this website. When you visit our website – as you are doing now – our web server (the computer on which this website is stored) automatically stores data such as

  • the address (URL) of the website being accessed
  • the browser and browser version
  • the operating system being used
  • the address (URL) of the previously visited page (referrer URL)
  • the host name and IP address of the device from which access is being made
  • date and time

in files (web server log files).

As a rule, web server log files are stored for 14 days and then automatically deleted. We do not share this data, however in the event of illegal conduct, we cannot rule out the possibility of this data being viewed.
In accordance with Article 6 (1)(f) GDPR (lawfulness of processing), the legal basis is that there is a legitimate interest in enabling the error-free operation of this website by collecting web server log files.

RIGHTS UNDER THE GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION

According to the provisions of the GDPR and the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG), you have the following rights:

  • Right to rectification (Article 16 GDPR)
  • Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”) (Article 17 GDPR)
  • Right to restriction of processing (Article 18 GDPR)
  • Right to notification – notification obligation in connection with the rectification or erasure of personal data or restriction of its processing (Article 19 GDPR)
  • Right to data portability (Article 20 GDPR)
  • Right to object (Article 21 GDPR)
  • Right not to be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing, including profiling (Article 22 GDPR)

If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or your data protection claims have otherwise been violated in any way, you may complain to the supervisory authority, which in Austria is the Data Protection Authority, whose website you can find at https://www.dsb.gv.at/.

Our website uses HTTP cookies to store user-specific data.
A cookie is a short data package that is exchanged between a web browser and a web server, but is completely meaningless to them. It only acquires meaning for a web application, e.g. an online shop, such as the contents of a virtual shopping basket.

There are two types of cookies: First-party cookies are created by our website, while third-party cookies are created by other websites (e.g. Google Analytics).
There are three categories of cookies: strictly necessary cookies to ensure the website’s basic functions, functional cookies to ensure the website’s performance, and targeted cookies to improve the user experience.

We use cookies to make our website more user-friendly. Some cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. They enable us to recognise your browser on your next visit.

VIEW COOKIE SETTINGS AND DELETE COOKIES

If you want to find out which cookies have been stored in your browser, change cookie settings or delete cookies, you can find this in your browser settings:

If you do not want data to be stored in cookies, you can set up your browser so that it informs you about the setting of cookies and that you only permit this in individual cases. You can delete cookies that are already on your computer, or deactivate cookies, at any time. The procedure for doing this differs depending on the browser; it is best to search for the instructions in Google using the search term “delete cookies chrome” or “deactivate cookies chrome” in the case of a Chrome browser or replace the word “chrome” with the name of your browser, e.g. Edge, Firefox, Safari.
If you do not allow us to use cookies in general, i.e. disable them in your browser settings, some functions and pages may not work as expected.

GOOGLE FONTS PRIVACY POLICY

We use Google Fonts from Google Inc (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) on our website. Google Fonts are used without authentication and no cookies are sent to the Google Fonts API. If you have an account with Google, none of your Google account data will be transmitted to Google when you use Google Fonts. Google only records CSS usage and the fonts used, and stores this data securely. You can find out more about these and other questions at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq.

You can find out what data is collected by Google and what this data is used for at https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/.

GOOGLE ADSENSE PRIVACY POLICY

We use Google AdSense on this website, Google Inc.’s (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) advertising program. It may transmit data on the advertising media displayed, and your IP address, to servers in the USA for analysis.

In AdSense, cookies are intended to enable better advertising; these cookies do not contain any personalised data. Google AdSense sends a cookie to the browser after every impression, every click and every other activity that leads to the Google Adsense server being called up. If the browser accepts the cookie, it is stored there.

As part of AdSense, third-party providers may be able to place and read cookies in your browser or use web beacons to store data that they receive through providing ads on our website. Web beacons are small graphics that enable log file recording and analysis. These are used for statistical analysis for online marketing purposes.

Deactivating cookies

You may delete cookies that are already on your computer, or deactivate cookies, at any time.

You may delete cookies that are already on your computer, or deactivate cookies, at any time.

If you have a Google account, you can deactivate personalised advertising at https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated. Even if you deactivate ad personalisation, you may still see ads based on factors such as your approximate location. This is derived from your IP address, browser type and recently used search terms.
